Join Friends of Ferals for our TNR Basics Class, an educational workshop designed to teach the fundamentals of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)โthe most humane and effective method of managing outdoor cat populations.
Whether you’re a first-time volunteer, animal advocate, neighborhood caretaker, or simply curious about helping stray and feral cats, this class will provide practical, hands-on knowledge to get you started. Participants will learn:
- The basics of Trap-Neuter-Return and why it works
- Financial Resources and Fundraising tips
- How to safely and humanely trap community cats
- Best practices for transporting cats to and from the clinic
- Recovery and post-surgery care
- Colony management tips and resources
- Common challenges and how to handle them
- Ways to get involved in local TNR efforts
